Dream Suite
As part of The Year of a Million Dreams celebration, Imagineers are designing an over-the-top Guest Suite.
The suite will include a royal Guest chamber inside Cinderella Castle. Guests randomly will be selected to receive a one-night
stay in the castle suite. A stay in the suite is one of the dream surprises that are part of The Year of a Million Dreams.
Construction is underway at Magic Kingdom Park to transform a space
in the castle that was originally planned as an apartment for the Disney family into Cinderella’s royal Guest chamber.
Imagineers are having fun coming up with creative ways to seamlessly design modern day conveniences into 14th century gothic
architecture. Cinderella’s Guest chamber will actually make Guests feel as if they are in a real castle. There will
be beautiful stone work, coffered ceilings and splendid French-period detailing. Guests will enter the castle through a new
breezeway where they will be greeted by a bellman who will take them up to the suite in an elevator. The suite is about 650
square feet and will sleep four to six people. The over-the-top amenities will include wireless Internet access, video games
and several other special effects that will make a stay in the chamber unforgettable. The suite is scheduled to be complete
by January 2007.
